Support Our Local Elementary Schools! (Huntington Hills and C.N. Gunn)

On behalf of Huntington Hills and C.N. Gunn elementaries, I want to sincerely thank you for your generous support to these causes! The winter boot, shoe and clothing drive is still happening and we really appreciate all of your donations.

The most needed items at this time are:

  • Childrens winter jackets (especially for 6-7 year olds)
  • Kids snow pants (mainly smaller sizes)
  • Hats and mittens
  • Indoor running shoes, kids sizes 11-6

The donation bin for both schools is still in the foyer of the North Mission. This is such an amazing way to bless children (and parents) in our community this holiday season.

A lot of families have already been blessed by this work, so thank you, and thank God for His provision!

Pathway Church Cambrian – Food Pantry

Grace City and Knox Church are partnering up to help out with an ongoing donation drive for the Pathway Church Cambrian Food Pantry! We were able to drop off our first load to the pantry, and they were so excited and grateful! Thank you all so much!

This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of fellow Calgarians, and to bless them by showing them the love of Jesus! There is a collection bin in the foyer of the North Mission.

They are asking for items that will keep for at least one month or longer. Below is a list of the most needed items:

  • Powdered milk
  • Cereal boxes
  • Peanut butter
  • Oil
  • Pasta
  • Pasta sauce
  • Canned meats (tuna, chicken, spam, etc)
  • Canned vegetables
  • Canned plain black or brown beans (no sauces please, i.e. tomato or maple brown sugar)
  • Rice
  • Sugar (Smaller packages are better)
  • Flour (Smaller packages are better)
  • Mac & Cheese boxes
  • (small) bags of potatoes

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to Will or Pastor Dave!

Power Issues at the North Mission

We are still waiting for updates on when we can expect the interruptions to be resolved. We expect everything to be back to normal by this weekend, but unfortunately we have not received a definitive date at this time. Your prayers are appreciated!

Year-End Giving, a Message From Pastor Jeremiah:

As we approach the end of the year, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible generosity of our faith family at Grace City. Your giving reflects the heart of our mission and fuels the work God is doing in and through our church.

If you’re planning to make year-end donations, here are a few details to keep in mind:

  • Cheques should be dated no later than December 31st and mailed to: 823 64th Ave NW, Calgary, AB, T2K 0M6 (Please note the ongoing postal strike when considering this option)
  • You can also give online via e-transfer to donate@urbangracechurch.ca, or through the Tithely app (search “Urban Grace Church of Calgary”)

Thank you for partnering with us to see the Gospel proclaimed and lives transformed in our city and beyond. We’re so blessed by your faithfulness and generosity!

Tweens Night Postponed to January

Lise Daumler has let me know that they are going to postpone the upcoming Tweens Night until January, as this is a very busy time of the year for families. Let me know if you have any questions and I can put you in touch with Lise and Tom.

New “Grace City” Email Addresses

As part of our rebranding from Urban Grace to Grace City, we have rolled out new email addresses for the staff, elders and volunteers. Starting Friday, November 29th, 2024 everyone with an Urban Grace email address (name@urbangracechurch.ca) will be switched to a Grace City email address (name@gracecitychurch.ca).

We are also rolling out new location-specific tithing emails for the North and South missions. They are “donatenorth@gracecitychurch.ca” and “donatesouth@gracecitychurch.ca” respectively.

The old Urban Grace emails will still work, and the donate@urbangracechurch.ca email will work too! Just don’t be surprised when you get an email from someone with a flashy new Grace City address! I would encourage you to update this information in your contacts, though.

If you have any questions about this, please reach out to me directly.
